Peako believes that quality ancillary systems and equipment are as important as the gasifier in providing a reliable and efficient BGES to the customers. Peako BGES is simple and easy to operate, a few trained workers are sufficient to run the system.

Ordinary diesel engine mechanic that can be recruited in rural villages will have no difficulties in taking care of the gas engines. Simple but Reliable is the beauty of Peako BGES.

Modular Configuration

Peako BGES comes in prefabricated modules perfectly fits inside standard ISO containers for easy marine and inland transportation. The compact modules occupy a small footprint and require minimal civil engineering works enabling fast site erection and commissioning. A 1200kW BGES can be erected on site and commissioned in about 4~6 weeks time excluding advance civil engineering works that involve only simple foundation works. This saves time and money to the users. 


Environmental Friendliness

Peako's genuine gas treatment process consumes minimal amount of water and the effluent is treated and circulated for re-use eliminating secondary pollution. Ash disposal and storage are all conveyed in a close system with no dust emission. The only gas emission is the gas engine exhaust that is controlled within permissible limits. Workers enjoy working with Peako BGES that is considerate to the environment and the people.

Innovative Gas Treatment

Tar is a by-product formed during the gasification process that causes serious maintenance problem and has crippled the biomass gasification industry for decades. Peako's innovative compact gas scrubber effectively removes tar and particulates from the producer gas to below 100 mg/Nm3.

It involves minimal pressure drop and provides almost maintenance free continuous non-clog operation. Water is the scrubbing media that is treated and circulated for re-use thus eliminating secondary pollution.

To enhance gas engine performance and minimize maintenance, an Electrostatic Precipitator  is bundled with the scrubber to further remove tar particulate and other impurities in the gas stream to below 50 mg/Nm3 that ensures reliable running of even turbo-charged gas engines. Continuous on-line Oxygen monitoring ensures safe operation of the gas treatment system.

Gas Engine

Our Technology Image 3 The low heat value of biomass producer gas imposes a vastly different working condition to the gas engine in comparison to natural gas. Our gas engines are real workhorses with proven track record of biomass producer gas applications.

Tar, being an inherent byproduct of biomass gasification, causes disruptions and damages to gas engines resulting in unreliable operation and high maintenance costs. Peako BGES successfully manages to reduce tar to consistently low level and this is an essential contribution to enable uninterrupted and reliable running of gas engines proved by actual operation record.

Peako collaborates with gas engine builders to develop high performance producer gas engines including turbo charged engines. Peako has been the test ground of many prototype producer gas engines from at least 5 reputable gas engine builders. The close interaction with gas engine builders enbales continuous and timely improvement of Peako BGES that only industry leaders can provide.

Workmanship & Maintenance
