Liaocheng Plant is a 800 kW BGES using cotton stalk to generate electricity.The plant converts the agricultural waste to much needed electricity for the local factories.

The plant is located in the centre of cotton fields where cotton stalk is used to burn openly due to the lack of proper disposal means. The plant was commissioned in end 2005 that the BGES provides a positive environmental, economic and social impact to the community.
